In the past week we have moved the food bank log stock and barrel to a business unit at Conwy Morfa Business Park , kindly provided by CCBC for a period of three months rent free.
This will allow us to continue to process donations and deliver food parcels whilst being able to observe social distancing rules.
The response of the local authority and local community in their determination to insure the food bank continues to be able to sustain it’s ability to provide food parcels for those in need in Conwy, has been overwhelming .
CCBC gave us an immediate £1,000 to buy food, which with another £3000 [of a total of a £15,000 grant] earmarked for the purchase of food from the Morgan Foundation, £500 worth of food purchased and delivered to us from Colwyn Bay Rotary club means we are able to restock and insure we can meet the demand. In addition of course we have the substantial donation, the fruit of much hard work by Guto Lewis at Bocs Storage from the Dewi Sant dinner on February 27th.
