Drumming at the ROC of Rochdale

Special thanks to our very own Tony McManus for organising a public drumming sessions last Tuesday night at the Reaching out Centre, Rochdale.

Drumming has a positive effect on anxiety, grief, fatigue, depression and behavioural issues. While drumming people strengthen their ability to focus and work on impulse control and decision making skills. Playing the drums can help people express themselves and get in touch with their emotional state

It was a special night, with over 15 people in attendance, many of which have lived experience of disadvantage. Tony said, this is what i love about working at Sanctuary trust, its a bit mad but it really works and people just get so much out of activities like this’.

Great work Tony, looking forward to your next wacky event at the Reaching out Centre!
