Back in December 2020 I recieved an email from Tracey Porter (deputy head teacher) at great howarth school asking if we would like a very kind donation of gifts for some of our service users,? Tracey was unsure as to what to provide so I very kindly accepted the offer and suggested shoe box style gifts offered a great way for the children to personalise the gifts and tailor them to either men or women.
Unfortunately the covid-19 pandemic got in the way of us receiving the boxes in time for Christmas, however Tracey and the children kindly kept her promise and I collected 10 boxes on the 9th February 2021. The boxes were all individually decorated and personalised for our male and female service users.
This donation means an awful lot to the Sanctuary Trust especially as we take into consideration that Great Howarth School is a DfE registered, independent special school for pupils aged 7 to 18 years, who may have social, emotional and mental health difficulties, as well as a range of other needs, including ADHD or ASD.
The boxes were created with love, care and attention and will really cheer up someones day.
