Halsall House Project Housing Worker
A permanent Project worker position has become available at Halsall House, a 13 bedded Men's supported Abstinence Accommodation project in Rochdale.
Project Housing Worker, Salary: £9.12 per hour +sleep in allowance
118 hrs. + 7 sleep in duties every four weeks (sleep allowance covering8 hours per night)
The candidate must have Housing/buildings experience around homelessness and Ideally will have knowledge of working with addictions. Possess good knowledge with regards to Health & Safety and be able to demonstrate this at interview. The candidate must also possess excellent communication, customer service skills and be able to deal with situations in a professional manner. You must be comfortable lone working although an on-call system is in place and will be available if needed. An NVQ in health and social care or working towards similar would be desirable but is not essential training will be given.
Unsociable hours of work in accordance with the hostel's needs may be required. (All shifts are 24hr shifts, starting at 10am and finishing the following day at 10am)
Purpose and objects of job.
The post holder will be responsible for the day to day operation of the project, duties vary but here are a few examples of what you may be asked to do as part of your role: keywork service users and develop progression plans with them, urine test and breath test service users when required, sign to say the correct mediation has been taken, accurate administration of rent, reporting maintenance issues, Assist in cooking and cleaning duties, Participate in staff development and training. To support the overall ethos of the trust.
