Maintenance Operative
Salary- £26,227 pa full time (£11,190 pro rata, £13.45 phr) (SCP 20)
Location-Greater Manchester (Rochdale, Oldham)
Hours of duty: 16 hrs per week (flexible)
Please note: This role requires regular travel between multiple locations. Therefore, a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential requirements.
Job Overview
Sanctuary Trust is a charity with a Christian ethos, providing safe and supportive accommodation for individuals in need. We are looking for a practical, reliable, and motivated Maintenance Operative to help maintain and improve our properties across Rochdale and Oldham.
This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You’ll play an important part in ensuring our accommodation remains safe, welcoming, and well-maintained for the people we support.
Duties
- Carry out general maintenance and property repairs across multiple sites.
- Conduct routine property inspections and report any issues.
- Support compliance with health and safety requirements.
- Assist with setting up and furnishing new accommodation projects.
- Purchase, collect, and deliver materials, furniture, and equipment.
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain records of completed work and property conditions.
- Transport tools, furniture, and supplies between sites.
- Work closely with the Asset Manager to support operational needs.
