Conwy Foodbank has received £15,000 from Steve Morgan Foundation to help combat impact of Covid 19
The Covid 19 outbreak threatened to close the Sanctuary trust run Conwy food bank. The project is run by volunteers, but many of the volunteers are in high risk groups and are therefore unavailable to continue serving at this important local provision.
Thanks to the Steve Morgan foundation, the Sanctuary Trust has procured addition funds to increase the hours of our paid worker so that she can now lone work within the food bank and keep this important local provision going.
In the month of March, the food bank provided a total of 137 food parcels to households across County Conwy. Closing this project at this most crucial time would have had a devastating impact on the local community.
Thanks to supporters like Steve Morgan foundation, the Sanctuary trust will rise to the challenges brought about by covid 19
