|After a relationship breakdown with his partner Seamus found himself sofa surfing for a period of time before he requested support from RBH homelessness section. Seamus was placed at the Broadfield hotel in October last year, he was offered his own tenancy in early December and happily accepted. The flat however needed a new kitchen and other essential works completing before Seamus could move in so Seamus made the move to Holland house with The Sanctuary Trust on the 23rd of December.
With the support of The Sanctuary Trust Seamus eventually moved into his property on the 29th January and was given a basic furniture package consisting of a bed, bedding, bedside cabinets, sofa, microwave, toaster, kettle, plates, bowls and cutlery as we had already supported Seamus in applying to the discretionary crisis fund for all his white goods and furniture needs.
Although Seamus was so used to independent living and found living in emergency accommodation difficult at times he was very grateful for the support given to him since accessing the service.
Seamus has been on a journey from the hotel to the hostel before eventually finding his home.
Everyone at The Sanctuary Trust wishes Seamus all the best in his new home.
