From humble beginnings, the Soup Kitchen has developed into an important community asset.
These days we don’t just meet the basic needs of our most vulnerable residents; it’s not just about providing a hot meal, essential warm clothing and a safe friendly environment. Because of the patience, the hard work and true grit of our amazing volunteers, we are cultivating a community spirit that uplifts and binds together a group of people that come from all kinds of different backgrounds.
For this reason, we are in the process of rebranding. Coming soon, your local Soup Kitchen will be known as the Community Kitchen: a safe place for local citizens to come together’
We are going to be running community knitting sessions, relaxation events, free training sessions; you name it we are going set it up! And of course we are going to continue eating together!
