Tom … Bowler Takes lads to Sandbrook Ten Pin.

Tom Fernandez The Sanctuary Trust’s Halsall House Team Leader took 12 service users along to a night of tenpin bowling at Sandbrook Park for October’s recreation event.

Tom Bowler We split up into 3 teams over three lanes and it was game on! There were lots of silly names being but up on the board and the laughter was flowing throughout, this was then followed by 3 sharing platters for supper.

Everyone had a brilliant night with service users saying “it’s like a really good night out with your mates, and I can’t remember the last time I said that” another saying “the whole house is buzzing after going out, the atmosphere is brilliant” one service user who has limited mobility at the moment due to an injury said “I’ll be on bed rest for the rest of the week but it was 100% worth it”.

As the team leader of Halsall house it is really nice to see the service users genuinely having a great time and letting there guard down, some of the service users have not been bowling for over 20 years and had forgotten how much fun it can be.

The service users are currently in discussion about what they would like to do for November’s recreation event…
